Music is magical and it has a power that will never be truly understood. Life without music would be hard to imagine. Our aim at Reddam Early Learning Schools is to give children the opportunity to engage with and create music both together and individually guided by our specialist music teacher.
Learning through music continues as children natrually love to sing songs and play instruments from a young age. Music gives children security in who they are and a sense of knowing that they belong, and is used extensively across all our Early Learning schools.
Our aim in Physical Education is to ensure that our children are physically ready for learning. Balance, posture and co-ordination are essential for children to be able to sit still and pay attention in the early years. In our physical education classes our specialist teachers are constantly working with the children to ensure that the children are fit for learning. We aim for all the children to have a good physical experience, thus enhancing not only skills development but also to encourage friendship, provide a positive outlet for emotions and energy, develop teamwork skills, foster leadership opportunities and allow children to take responsibility for their health and well-being.
DANCE AND DRAMA
In our Dance and Drama lessons our specialist drama teacher provides opportunities for children to accept and assign roles, and then act them out. It is a time when children are encouraged to break through the walls of reality, pretend to be someone or something different from themselves, and dramatise situations and actions to go along with the roles they have chosen to play.
